BALANGA CITY — The Bataan Police Provincial Office (PPO) reported the arrest of a student and the confiscation of shabu worth P1.7 million during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Bagong Silang here Sunday.
Bataan Police OIC and director Col. Maritess Salvadora said that operatives of the Balanga City Police Station (CPS) in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency conducted the operation.
Seized from the 28-year-old student, a newly identified high-value individual, were approximately 250 grams of shabu.
The suspect is currently in the custody of Balanga CPS and waiting for the formal charges to be filed.
"This accomplishment highlights our relentless efforts to curb the illegal drug activities in Bataan," said Salvadora.

She said that the Bataan PPO continues to urge the public to report any suspicious activities in their communities and remains committed to its goal of achieving a drug-free Bataan through an intensified law enforcement, community engagement, and inter-agency collaboration.
