SWS: 83% of Filipinos say women’s role is home and family

MANILA, Philippines — More than 80% of Filipinos say a woman’s primary role is to look after her home and family, reflecting a long-held conservative view on gender roles. A Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey released this week tracked Filipinos’ views on women’s roles in family life, including attitudes toward women’s work and family responsibilities.
