Technology, innovation, entrepreneurship: Keys to prosperity at FFCCCII's 34th Biennial National Convention

THE Federation of Filipino Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Inc. (FFCCCII) will host its 34th Biennial National Convention at the SMX Convention Center from April 3 to 6, 2025, uniting over 170 Filipino Chinese chambers of commerce and business associations nationwide.

Under the theme "Technology, Innovation and Entrepreneurship: Keys to Prosperity," the convention will spotlight the transformative power of modernization, creativity, and enterprise in driving the Philippines' economic future. For over 1,000 years, the Filipino Chinese community has been integral to the Philippines' progress through trade and cultural exchange; Social harmony and mutual growth; and a legacy of philanthropy and nation-building.

For over seven decades, the FFCCCII continues this tradition under President Dr. Cecilio Pedro, a visionary industrialist and philanthropist. He coined the 2024 FFCCCII 70th Anniversary motto, "Dugong Tsino, Pusong Pinoy" (Chinese blood, Filipino heart), which reflects the community's unwavering dedication to the Philippines' prosperity. Guided by Confucian values of benevolence (仁 "ren") and righteousness (义 "yi"), the federation blends business leadership with social impact through Operation Barrio Schools, Filipino Chinese Volunteer Fire Brigades nationwide, calamity relief efforts, and advocacy for inclusive growth.

The FFCCCII drives progress through boosting trade, tourism, and investments with Asean, China, Hong Kong, South Korea, Japan, the US, EU and other regions.; advancing innovation and technology to strengthen local industries and agriculture; campaigning for policy reforms to improve ease of doing business, reduce red tape, minimize efficiencies and support domestic manufacturing (via its "Buy Pinoy" movement); and expanding Philippine exports and tourism as engines of development. The 2025 FFCCCII Biennial National Convention is a call to action for entrepreneurs ready to thrive and reinvest in the digital age, innovators reshaping industries of the future, and leaders and philanthropists who are committed to social justice and nation building.
