Recently, Tesoros launched another Disenyo at Talento talks to celebrate its eighth decade in business.

Featured was renowned designer, the “Fanman” Monchet Diokno-Olives of Casa Mercedes who introduced new themes to his best-selling Icoño Fan Collection (Diva, Sumakses, and Bruh).  These abanicos, known for their bold statements, rooted in Filipino humor, capture contemporary Filipino expressions.

Tesoros’  partnership with Casa Mercedes began in the 1950s; the two companies share a common mission to elevate traditional crafts into meaningful, modern-day art forms. This launch was also a celebration of their Filipino values. Monchet doesn’t simply run a brand, he is a leader of a transformative movement that, together with Tesoros, assures that Filipino handicrafts remain relevant and uplifting. In doing so, the two companies provide livelihood to cottage industry craft communities that enables them to thrive.

The event was graced by VIPs such as former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, ArteFino co-founder Maritess Pineda, and members of the Financial Executives Institute of the Philippines.
