MANILA, Philippines – Following the success of the recent culinary travels through a Taste of Thailand this past April, The Admiral Hotel Manila launches another meaningful collaboration through a Taste of South Korea with chef Lily Min.

Chef Lily is a Korean cuisine specialist and instructor at the Korean Cultural Center in the Philippines.

Held in the Admiral Club facing Manila Bay, the MGallery continues to extend its signature culinary journey through The Admiral’s Travels with heirloom Korean homestyle dishes. Guests and diners can enjoy the South Korean flavors on the lunch and dinner buffet all throughout  the month of May.

May is Parents Month in Korea and this collaboration is especially meaningful for chef Lily, as she shared that May 8th is the day when Koreans celebrate Parents Day. This special family event marks the significance of the dishes she chose to highlight during this collaboration.

Choosing heritage dishes that are usually reserved for special occasions at home, she felt that sharing them with the wider audience and hotel guests of The Admiral Club would honor her roots while sharing family traditions.

Admiral Hotel general manager Matthieu Busschaërt remarked: “Together with my team, our commitment has always been to elevate the guest experience through best-in-class hospitality and gastronomy.”

“Partnering with the finest culinary artisans like chef Lily Min allows us to do that and bring authentic global flavors to the Admiral’s table,” Busschaërt said. “We are also thrilled to be the only hotel in Manila, once again recommended by the Michelin Guide 2025.”

When asked, chef Lily shared that many of the dishes she chose to highlight also provide healing properties, aid in digestion and are made with elevated  ingredients that cater to a more international palette.

With the backdrop of a world class hotel and the view of Manila Bay, foodies can enjoy the culinary travels of  The Admiral, without having to go too far from home.

Through connection, comfort, and cuisine, guests of The Admiral Club can relish in the tradition of Korean culture in bite sized moments that are both satisfying and memorable. – Rappler.com
