MANILA, Philippines — A court in San Pablo, Laguna has issued another arrest warrant against fugitive businessman Charlie “Atong” Ang and five others.

In an order dated February 6, the San Pablo City Regional Trial Court Branch 29 issued a warrant of arrest against Ang and five other individuals over the case of the missing sabungeros.

The charges against Ang and the others are kidnapping and serious illegal detention.

The other co-accused are the following:

  • Ryan Jay Orapa
  • Alfredo Uy Andres
  • Philip Simborio Almendilla
  • Joey Natanauan Encarnacion
  • Aaron Ezrah Lagahit Cabillan

The charges against the accused are also non-bailable.

Other courts in Calabarzon have also issued warrants of arrest against Ang.

On January 13, the Sta. Cruz, Laguna RTC Branch 26 first issued a warrant against Ang and 20 others.

This was followed by the Lipa RTC in Batangas, which issued a warrant of arrest on January 15.

The charges stem from complaints filed by the families of missing cockfight enthusiasts on August 1, relating to the disappearance of 34 sabungeros between 2021 and 2022.
