MANILA, Philippines — Leading automotive firm Toyota Motor Philippines Corp. (TMP) is set to open a new dealership in Antipolo, Rizal to further expand its reach in the country.
In a statement yesterday, TMP said it has started the development of a new dealership with Toyota Taytay Rizal Inc. as part of its aim to provide quality service to its growing customers.
The new dealership will be located along L. Sumulong Memorial Circle in Barangay San Jose.
TMP president Masando Hashimoto said the Antipolo dealership “is set to strengthen our network.”
In addition, he said the dealership is expected to enable TMP to serve customers with greater convenience.
Toyota Antipolo president Zellyn Lim Diaz said the dealership is expected to contribute to the local economy.
“This project will generate employment — from jobs during construction to long-term careers once operations begin. More importantly, it will provide opportunities for learning, development and stability for many families,” Diaz said.
Once completed, TMP’s Antipolo dealership will cover a floor area of 12,160 square meters and provide a complete range of services including express maintenance, periodic maintenance, body and paint services, as well as general repairs.
It will have a showroom with seven car displays and 37 well-equipped service bays to serve customers in the province.
Antipolo, the capital of Rizal province, is a rapidly growing city, hosting retail, real estate developments, tourism businesses, as well as micro, small and medium enterprises.
The city is also located close to Metro Manila through road networks such as Marcos Highway and Ortigas Avenue Extension.
Last year, TMP accounted for 46.7 percent of the country’s total automotive industry sales.
TMP sold 229,447 units last year, 5.2 percent higher than the 218,019 units in 2024.
