MANILA, Philippines — The 2026 edition of Travel Madness Expo will take place this July ahead of predictions for a new wave of "revenge travelling."
Global tourism has taken a hit this year due to geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, affecting not just plane routes but the prices of oil and gas which in turns impacts the cost of travel.
While biding for the right time to take passports out again, aspiring travellers are beginning to look for destinations with strong security, seamless logistics and incredible value.
Tourism boards of different countries and global airlines have already doubled down on safety protocols, flexible booking policies, and robust itineraries to bring back the excitement of boarding a plane.
Travel Madness Expo, taking place in Halls 1 to 4 of the SMX Convention Center Manila from July 10 to 12, offers a physical marketplace for travellers to speak with embassy representatives, top tour operators and airline executives.
Organizers are anticipating a new wave of "revenge travel" following the trips that took place after lockdown measures were fully lifted, now with decisions made without compromise.
"Event-only" rates will be offered during the expo to better entice attendees, plus special credit card tier discounts, exclusive event-only booking rates, and flexible "Book Now, Pay Later" installment plans courtesy of official bank and credit card partner Metrobank.
