ATIMONAN, Quezon, Philippines — Eight people were injured when a truck hit a motorcycle and rolled into a ravine in this town on Monday.
Investigation showed that the motorcycle with three people on board was traveling up the Diversion Road in Barangay Malinao Ilaya when it was hit by the truck.
The truck driver told probers that his vehicle lost its brakes as it was traveling down the road. He said he and his four companions jumped off the truck to save themselves.
Probers said the truck continued rolling down the road and hit the motorcycle before it plunged into the ravine. The victims were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment of injuries.
