A stellar international field pits talents with the best this country could offer as Subic Bay simultaneously hosts two Ironman events in two weeks.

The Century Tuna Ironman and the 70.3 Subic Bay will be held at the same time on June 7 at the hub of the sport in the country, a blockbuster day organized by Sunrise Events where both races take the participants through the protected waters of Subic Bay, the paved surfaces of SCTEX and a run through a golf course.

The Ironman race will be a 3.8-kilometer swim, a 180-km bike and a full 42.2km marathon run, while the 70.3 will be over a 1.9-km swim, 90-km bike and 21.1-km half-marathon.

This year’s staging holds immense historical weight, as it marks the milestone 10th season of the IM 70.3 Subic Bay and the fifth anniversary of the full-distance Ironman Philippines.

The Subic Bay race course is regarded as one of the best in the world, maintained the whole year round to make sure that all participants get the best racing experience possible.

Adding to the prestige, the Philippine Sports Commission will back the Filipino Elite Category in the Ironman. This dedicated platform is open to current and former national athletes, as well as rising homegrown stars who meet stringent selection standards.
