CEO Ana Maria Aboitiz Delgado
MANILA, Philippines — Union Bank of the Philippines president and CEO Ana Maria Aboitiz Delgado has been named among Forbes Asia’s 20 outstanding female leaders, helping shape the region’s economic transformation amid global volatility.
Delgado is the only Filipina on Forbes Asia’s Power Businesswomen 2026 list, which covered women leaders from a dozen countries and territories across Asia-Pacific.
“The 2026 Forbes Asia’s Power Businesswomen list spotlights a new roster of 20 trailblazing entrepreneurs, corporate executives and next-generation family leaders,” Forbes Asia editorial director Rana Wehbe Watson said.
“They are actively transforming the region’s economy – from supplying critical hardware behind the AI infrastructure boom to modernizing sectors like retail and finance,” Watson added.
A fifth-generation member of the Aboitiz family, Delgado joined UnionBank in 2003.
She took over the role of president and CEO in January 2025, just after the bank – controlled by her family’s holding company Aboitiz Equity Ventures – completed the integration of Citibank’s Philippine consumer banking business.
Earlier this year, Delgado was also among the four executives named to Fortune Magazine’s 100 Most Powerful Women in Asia for 2026.
She was also included in Fortune Magazine’s 100 Most Powerful Women in Asia for 2025.
Last year, Robinsons Land Corp. president and CEO Mybelle Aragon-GoBio and Ayala Corp. managing director Mariana Zobel de Ayala made it to Forbes Asia’s Power Businesswomen 2025 list.
