MANILA, Philippines — Several local government units have announced class suspensions for Friday, August 28, due to the inclement weather brought by the southwest monsoon or habagat.

State weather bureau PAGASA has announced that several parts of Luzon will experience heavy rains tomorrow.

Below is a running list of class suspensions.

National Capital Region

  • Valenzuela - no face-to-face classes, all levels, public and private
  • San Juan - no face-to-face classes, all levels, public and private
  • Quezon City - no face-to-face classes, kindergarten to Grade 12, public and private
  • Malabon - no face-to-face classes, all levels, public and private
  • Caloocan - no face-to-face classes, all levels, public and private
  • Manila - no face-to-face classes, all levels, public and private
  • Las Piñas - no face-to-face classes, all levels, public and private

Pampanga 

  • Select schools in Mexico (Laug Elementary School, Sta. Maria Elementary School, Dolores Piring Elementary School, San Lorenzo Elementary School, Sto. Domingo Elementary School) -  no face-to-face classes 
  • Angeles  - no face-to-face classes, all levels, public and private
  • San Simon (except Concepcion Integrated School) - no face-to-face classes, all levels, public and private
  • Sto. Tomas - no face-to-face classes, all levels, public and private
  • Minalin - no face-to-face classes, all levels, public and private
