MANILA, Philippines — Philippine Foreign Affairs Secretary Enrique Manalo and European Union High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice President of the European Commission Kaja Kallas hold a joint press conference on Monday, June 2.

Kallas, the former prime minister of Estonia, was appointed to her current post in December 2024. This is her first visit to Manila as the bloc’s chief of foreign affairs.

While in Manila, Kallas will meet with Manalo bilaterally “to discuss ways to further strengthen Philippines-EU relations amidst challenging regional and international issues.”

Kallas will then hold meetings with other “high-level officials of the Philippine government.” She is also expected to call on President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.
