MANILA, Philippines — Say a little prayer because Filipino fans are going to see Westlife once again.
Concert promoter Wilbros Live announced that the Irish pop group has included the Philippines in its ongoing 25th Anniversary World Tour.
Westlife will perform at the Mall of Asia Arena on January 27, 2027.
Only Shane Filan, Nicky Byrne and Kian Egan are expected to participate as Mark Feehily continues to deal with health issues. Brian McFadden left the group in 2004.
Return to Manila
The group last performed in the Philippines in 2023 for a sold-out concert at the Araneta Coliseum. That visit was notable because fellow boy band Backstreet Boys performed at the Mall of Asia Arena on the same day.
Tickets to the upcoming concert will go on sale on Friday, May 15, at noon via the SM Tickets website and outlets nationwide.
Westlife's 25th Anniversary World Tour began last October with two orchestral performances at London's Royal Albert Hall. The tour proper commenced in China in January.
Among the new tour dates are stops in Malaysia and Singapore before the Philippines, followed by Indonesia, Thailand and Hong Kong before the tour continues in North America, Europe, Australia and New Zealand.
New collection album
Coinciding with the new tour stop announcements is the release of the group's new album, "25 - The Ultimate Collection," which compiles several of their most popular songs.
These include "My Love," "If I Let You Go," "I Lay My Love on You," "Swear It Again," "Fool Again," "Seasons in the Sun," "When You're Looking Like That," "World of Our Own," "Queen of My Heart" and "Chariot," co-written by Ed Sheeran.
Also featured are their covers of "Uptown Girl," "You Raise Me Up," "More than Words," "Nothing's Going to Change My Love For You," "I Have a Dream," "Mandy" and "What About Now."
"What better way to mark 25 years of Westlife than with an album that brings together our biggest hits alongside new music we're so proud of," the group said in a statement. "We're beyond excited to head out on a global tour and celebrate these songs with the fans who've made it all possible."
