Winwyn Marquez on Dia Mate's Reina Hispanoamericana win: 'I knew it'

Winwyn Marquez couldn’t be prouder of Dia Mate for taking home the country’s second Reina Hispanoamericana crown.

On Instagram Stories, the Kapuso beauty queen congratulated Dia on her achievement.

“I knew it,” Winwyn said. “Unang usap pa lang naming, alam ko mananalo siya.”

“I am so happy! Congratulations, Reina [Dia Mate],” she added.

Dia reigned victorious in the Reina Hispanoamericana 2025 pageant held in Bolivia on Monday (Philippine time).

During the coronation night, the beauty queen from Cavite donned a sultry gold gown designed by Rian Fernandez.

Aside from the major crown, Dia also won the Best in National Costume award. She donned an Ehrran Montoya dress inspired by the baroque churches of the Philippines.

In 2017, Winwyn won the country’s first Reina Hispanoamericana crown.

Winwyn earlier said she advised Dia to "really have fun and 'wag siyang ma-insecure with all the Latinas around her," she said.
