Winwyn Marquez is more than ready to conquer the universe eight years since she bagged the Reina Hispanoamericana 2017 title.
On Instagram, the Kapuso beauty queen and actress reflected on her pageant journey as she makes a comeback in pageantry, this time in Miss Universe Philippines 2025.
“It has been 10 years since I first stepped onto a pageant stage, 8 years since I became Miss Filipinas and lived a dream I worked so hard for outside the pageant world,” Winwyn recalled.
“Then I took a step back and embraced the most beautiful role of my life.. becoming a mother. I embraced it fully but deep down I still had my what ifs."
According to Winwyn, she never thought that the pageantry door would open anew for a mother like her.
“Who would’ve thought that this door would open again? For a mother, for a woman at this stage in life.. But when it did, I felt it. I had to take it because I am more than ready. I am whole."
As she returns to the pageant stage, the Filipina beauty said she’s ready to show what it truly means to be a “reina."
“Joining this journey is already a WIN for me. But more than that, I’m here to show you what it truly means to be a Reina. To prove that dreams don’t have deadlines, that beauty isn’t just what you see, and that strength comes in many forms," she said.
Winwyn is set to make a pageant comeback with Miss Universe Philippines 2025. She will be representing Muntinlupa City.
Winwyn won the first Reina Hispanoamericana crown for the Philippines in 2017.
In 2022, she gave birth to her first child, Luna.
