Here’s a sign to add “art appreciation” to your next malling agenda. Whether you’re craving a breather in the middle of shopping errands or running out of family bonding ideas, SM Supermalls’ latest initiative has something for everyone.

ART APPRECIATION. SM Supermalls invites art enthusiasts of various ages and backgrounds to visit the galleries

Following its commitment to support Filipino artistry, SM Supermalls is launching “Art for Everyone,” a month-long celebration of creativity, culture, and community. While it officially kicked off on July 1, you still have the chance to catch it in several SM Supermalls locations. Think art galleries inside the mall – no entrance fee needed.

This event serves as a fun follow-up to last year’s Art Market 2024, a Gold Stevie® awardee for Innovation in the Use of Events. Guests witnessed more than 4,000 local artworks and got to know over 1,200 Filipino artists – established and emerging alike – with many of last year’s featured artists eager to return to this year’s edition. They also have the opportunity to sell their work, so it’s good news for visitors wanting to bring a masterpiece home.

What kinds of artwork are there?

“Art for Everyone” will showcase various forms of expression like paintings, photography, prints, digital art, mixed media, and sculpture. As its name affirms, the program is meant to cater to different ages and backgrounds. Take it from the artists themselves.

“I was doing this painting together with my grandchildren and wife,” said painter Angel Briones, whose artwork entitled “Harmony in the Pond” is displayed at SM Clark, Pampanga. Meanwhile, another artwork – starring a colorful barn – featured in the same mall is painted by a child artist named Nico Aranda.
