CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines — A woman was found dead inside a drum that was dumped along Marcos Highway in Antipolo, Rizal on Thursday.

The cadaver was found by motorists who saw a human foot protruding from the drum at around 1:30 p.m.

Probers said that motorists smelled a foul odor as they approached the drum.

Police said the woman could have been killed somewhere and her body was dumped in the area to mislead investigators.

As of yesterday, authorities have yet to receive the result of an autopsy conducted on the victim.

Police urged people with information to help investigators identify the victim and cooperate in the probe.
