XGIMI has officially launched its most advanced projector lineup to date—the RS 20 series—in China. The series includes four models: RS 20 Plus, RS 20 Pro Max, RS 20 Ultra, and RS 20 Ultra Max, each equipped with native 4K resolution, tri-laser light engines, and pro-level gaming features.
XGIMI RS 20 Ultra Max – Flagship Performance
At the top of the range is the RS 20 Ultra Max, powered by MediaTek’s MT9681 processor and Mali-G57 GPU, paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. It features an advanced “X Master” lens with optical zoom (1.2–1.5:1) and lens shift support (±120% vertical, ±45% horizontal), allowing users to resize and reposition images without compromising quality.
The projector boasts a brightness of 4500 CVIA lumens (5700 ISO) and a 10,000:1 contrast ratio. Its triple-laser light engine incorporates 40 emitters and the Qualas 32 architecture, offering exceptional HDR capabilities with Dolby Vision, HDR Vivid, and IMAX Enhanced certifications. Additional features include motorized pan-tilt body, automatic keystone correction, AI obstacle avoidance, and ultra-quiet 28dB operation.
RS 20 Ultra – For Cinephiles and Creators
The RS 20 Ultra offers similar high-end features with slight variations. It comes with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage, delivering 4100 CVIA lumens (4800 ISO) brightness. The projector utilizes a red-ring X Master lens with ±120% vertical and ±45% horizontal optical shift, constructed with nine coated glass elements for sharpness and color precision.
It features the Qualas 22 triple-laser system with 36 emitters and supports Rec.709, DCI-P3, BT.2020, and Adobe RGB color spaces, fine-tuned to Delta E<0.8 accuracy. For gamers, it supports 240Hz at 1080p or 60Hz at 4K, along with ALLM, VRR, and ultra-low 1ms input latency.
RS 20 Pro Max – Calibrated Visuals and AI Enhancements
The RS 20 Pro Max focuses on calibrated image performance, featuring the MT9681 processor, 8445 image driver, and 472TP DMD chip. It delivers 3100 CVIA lumens (3800 ISO) brightness and maintains a 10,000:1 contrast ratio.
This model supports Dolby Vision, IMAX Enhanced, and HDR Vivid, and adds professional-grade LUT support. Its upgraded X-VUE 3.0 engine includes a dedicated AI processor for real-time image enhancements. Audio is handled by dual Harman Kardon speakers with surround sound support. Gaming features include VRR, ALLM, 1ms latency, and genre-specific A/V presets.
RS 20 Plus – Entry-Level with Premium Features
The RS 20 Plus serves as the entry-level model in the series but still offers many high-end features. It carries the same native 4K DMD chip and tri-laser light engine, providing users with a premium viewing experience at a more accessible price point.
Pricing and Availability
The XGIMI RS 20 series is currently available in China, with the RS 20 Ultra Max priced at CNY 18,999 (approximately PHP 150,000). While there’s no official word on international availability, XGIMI has a history of bringing its products to global markets.
