ILOCOS NORTE, Philippines – Memory keepers, this one’s for you!
The Office of the Governor of Ilocos Norte and PHLPost partnered up to introduce a line of Ilocos Norte-themed postcards just for Palarong Pambansa 2025, and spectators and competing athletes can send these out to their loved ones for free.
There are five postcard designs to choose from, each one featuring an iconic landmark in Ilocos Norte: Saud Beach, the Burgos Windfarm, the Marcos Stadium, the Suba Sand Dunes, and the Kapurpurawan Rock Formation.

“The idea is for these athletes who traveled so far to compete and participate in Palarong Pambansa to reconnect with their loved ones and share their experience in Ilocos,” Palarong Pambansa 2025 creative director Aian Raquel told Rappler.
Athletes can write to one person and can use multiple postcards if they need more space to write their letter, so long as they’re all going to the same address.
Non-athletes, however, are limited to one postcard.
All postcards are already pre-stamped.

Sending these postcards out is completely free. The Palaro attendees can send them anywhere in the Philippines, and even internationally. The postcard will supposedly be in the recipient’s hands within a maximum of 10 days.

The booth is located outside the Ferdinand E. Marcos Memorial Stadium, just by the Speech Choir and General Admission entrance. It will be open from 8 am to 5 pm until May 30.
The 2025 edition marks the first time Ilocos Norte is hosting Palarong Pambansa in nearly six decades. It was officially declared open in a grand ceremony on May 24. The games will then run until May 31, and will see action from over 15,000 athletes across 34 sports. – Rappler.com
