CALAMBA CITY, Laguna – The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) reported Saturday, July 26, that a total of P44.26 million worth of aid have been released to families affected by the southwest monsoon and tropical cyclones in the Calabarzon region.
The DSWD 4-A said 56,587 family food packs were distributed to 40 affected local government units (LGUs) in the region.
The DSWD is monitoring 102,017 affected families in the region. Sixteen thousand are still staying in 485 evacuation centers in 73 localities.
The agency is continuously coordinating with affected LGUs for the facilitation of requests for relief augmentation as well as provision of assistance in the management of evacuation centers and assessment of affected families.
