Did Coldplay just expose an affair?
As seen in a viral fan-taken video of a Coldplay concert in Boston, USA, the band’s jumbotron focused on a couple, looking cozy as the man hugged the woman from behind.
And as vocalist Chris Martin said, "Oh look at these two," the man instantly ducked down from the frame, while the woman turned away from the camera.
"Either they're having an affair, or they're just very shy," Martin continued.
As the video made the rounds online, netizens tracked down the identities of the couple, which explains why "Andy Byron" is the on top of Google Trends as of writing. Yahoo has identified Byron has the CEO of US tech company Astronomer, and the woman as his Chief People Officer Kristin Cabot.
According to the New York Post, Astronomer is “an AI and data company valued at about $1.2 billion.”
The publication added that Cabot was only hired in November last year, and that Byron “gushed” about her 20 years of HR experience and leadership skills.
Byron is said to be married to Megan Kerrigan Byron, while Cabot had been divorced from Kenneth Thornby since 2022.
Eagle-eyed netizens also saw that Megan allegedly dropped the Byron surname from her Facebook page.
As of writing, Astronomer has not issued any statements on the matter. Neither has Coldplay announced any changes to their concert jumbotron rules — so take care and be a little bit more critical on those alleged statements circulating online.
Check out the TikTok video of the alleged couple's jumbotron moment, which has been viewed more than 41M times.
