Following the debut of her first solo single "Alay sa Gabay", Jerms — known to many as the fiery spirit behind The Ransom Collective — releases her second single, "Tahan Na."
Drawing from years of musical and environmental advocacy, the Filipino artist continues to carve out her path as a solo artist, creating songs that are both deeply personal and universally resonant.
Where Alay sa Gabay was a tribute to guidance and resilience, Tahan Na is an intimate offering of comfort — a gentle yet powerful reminder that it's okay to feel lost, to sit with discomfort, and to breathe through life's most challenging waves.
Born from a time of anxiety — both personal and shared with close friends — this song offers comfort and reassurance in moments of vulnerability and uncertainty.
Jerms shares, "There was this time when anxiety was at an all-time high — not just for me, but for my closest friends as well. I sat there, meditated, and this song flowed through me as a reminder for all of us."

The title Tahan Na plays on the Tagalog word "tahanan" (home) and the phrase "tahan na" (to be comforted, consoled, or at peace). It's a phrase often spoken by parents to soothe a crying child — not to stop the tears, but to assure them they are not alone.
For Jerms, this song is deeply personal, inspired by the words her grandmother and mother would say to her, offering solace in difficult times.
"I hadn't originally planned to release this as my next single before the EP, but with everything happening in my life — especially my father's recent passing — it felt like I needed to share this song. It's a reminder, both to myself and to others, that it's okay not to be okay, and to keep breathing through it all."
With its raw, emotive lyrics and a melody that resonates with every heartache, Tahan Na gently encourages listeners to embrace their vulnerability and find peace in the midst of struggle.
"The lyrics and melodies poured out of me effortlessly. It was the easiest writing session I've had — just me in my room, after Tatz of Kashira shared this beat with me. It felt like a collaboration with my guides, a message that needed to be sung and shared."
As the song moves through waves of pain and healing, it carries a simple yet profound message: Breathe. You are not alone.
"Tahan Na" is out now on all streaming platforms, and comes ahead of the release of Jerms' debut EP out on May 15.
