MANILA, Philippines — Actor Kiko Estrada revealed that Coco Martin and Ruru Madrid are his idols.

In the press conference of TV5's upcoming series "Totoy Bato" recently, Kiko said that Coco and Ruru are his inspirations.

“Mga idol ko po ang mga ‘yan sana matuto ako ng mga sikreto nila, I look up to them, they’re my inspirations,” he said.

"Totoy Bato" is a legacy action drama created by legendary comics icon Carlo J. Caparas, and immortalized by Fernando Poe Jr., has been unearthed to further cement TV5’s TodoMax Primetime Singko block.

This bold reimagining of the iconic Filipino action character will be taking over from the epic conclusion of the action series "Lumuhod Ka Sa Lupa."

Joining Kiko in Totoy Bato’s powerhouse cast are Bea Binene as Emerald Espejo, Totoy’s childhood friend who also leads a secret life as an agent; Cindy Miranda as Amber Castillo, an ambitious daughter of rival Castillo family; and Diego Loyzaga as Dwayne Perez, another childhood friend turned archenemy. The cast also features a stellar roster of veteran actors, including Nonie Buencamino, Art Acuña, Mark Anthony Fernandez,  Mon Confiado, and Ms. Eula Valdez, with special appearances by Joko Diaz, Katya Santos, Kean Cipriano, Carlene Aguilar, and Ms. Jackie Lou Blanco. Completing the solid lineup are Andrew Muhlach, Billy Villeta, Ivan Padilla, Lester Llansang, Benz Sangalang, Gold Aceron,  CJ Caparas.

For the President and COO of Studio Viva and Viva Communications Senior Vice President for Content Creation Valerie Del Rosario, “We’re proud to bring together a powerhouse cast that can truly give justice to a legendary story like Totoy Bato. Their depth, passion, and strength as performers will breathe new life into this classic hero.”

“The action genre has always resonated with Filipino viewers, especially when it’s grounded in real emotions. Totoy Bato offers the perfect blend of heart and hard-hitting action for today’s primetime,” said Cignal’s First Vice President/Head of Channels and Content Management Sienna G. Olaso. Directed by Albert S. Langitan, who also helmed Lumuhod Ka Sa Lupa, the action-drama series is produced by MavenPro, Sari Sari Network Inc., under the production of Studio Viva, and will be available on TV5 and Sari Sari Channel.
