Kris Aquino, Boy Abunda to reunite on TV after 11 years for 2-part special

MANILA, Philippines — It's not the comeback many were anticipating, but fans can look forward to seeing Kris Aquino and Boy Abunda face-to-face, sharing the screen once more very soon.

GMA Network teased earlier this week a poster indicating a reunion for Boy and Kris as seen through text that read "The King and Queen are back."

Increasing speculations were emphasis on the "B" and "K" on the word "back" as well as two chairs, one black and the other yellow.

Boy later confirmed on the Oct. 21, 2026 episode of his show "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda" that the teaser was for a two-part special featuring Kris as his guest.

The recorded interview with Kris will air on October 28 and 29 as part of a week-long celebration for Boy's 61st birthday, which falls on the latter date. Other guests appearing next week are Alice Dixson, Ruffa Gutierrez and Andrea Brillantes.

"Kris and I are definitely back," Boy said, noting it would be their first onscreen appearance together in person in 11 years after the end of their program "Aquino & Abunda Tonight."

The two previously hosted together "Startalk," "The Buzz," "Boy & Kris," and "SNN: Showbiz News Ngayon." Kris did appear as a guest on "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda" on Feb. 26, 2025 but the interview was conducted via videoconference.

Boy shared that the two-part special will include conversations on Kris' health, her resolve to live, returning to work, love life over the past few years, political opinions, and sons Josh and Bimby.

"We also talked about many possibilities about what we can do together, abangan niyo," the television host teased.

"Ang mapapanood niyo ay ang Kris Aquino na na-miss nating lahat — ang Kris na masigla, puno ng buhay, walang tinatago, at napakatotoo," Boy ended.
