Sanya Lopez said that she did not expect Barbie Forteza and Jak Roberto would eventually break up after seven years of being together.
On Friday’s “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,” Sanya said that she was also shocked about the split of her friend and her older brother.
“Hindi ko na ine-expect na mangyayari pa ‘yon eh kasi ang tagal na nila. 7 years. Hindi rin po biro ‘yung 7 years. Hindi ko na inexpect ‘yon, Tito Boy,” she said.
But Sanya understands the former couple’s decision.
“Sila nakakaalam sa isa’t-isa. ‘Di ko alam kung bakit, kung paano,” she said.
According to Sanya, she has not spoken to them yet.
“Ang hirap kasi kaibigan ko si Barbie, kapatid ko si Jak, so hindi ko rin alam ‘yung kuwento nila pareho. Pero nandito ako as kaibigan at as kapatid,” she said.
She also said that she is not the type to interfere.
“Kung mag-o-open ka sa ‘kin, ready po ako para makinig sa ‘yo. Hanggang gano’n lang po, Tito Boy. Right now, hinahayaan ko siya kung kailan siya ready, same with Barbie, kung kailan lang din siya ready,” she said.
Sanya also previously admitted that she was saddened by the breakup, but she respects their decision.
Barbie and Jak were together for seven years before their split.
Barbie's final post with Jak on Instagram was in December 2024 when they celebrated the actor's 31st birthday.
