Vice Ganda and Nadine Lustre lead the cast of "Call Me Mother"

MANILA, Philippines — Any animosity between Vice Ganda and Shuvee Etrata is long gone after both worked on the upcoming Metro Manila Film Festival entry "Call Me Mother."
Vice, Shuvee and their fellow castmates attended a media conference for the film ahead of its Christmas Day release, where they were asked who they consider as a mother apart from their actual one.
Shuvee's answer was Vice as she cited still navigating the entertainment industry without proper knowledge of what it means to be a celebrity.
"Meme has paved the way for me to learn, and be accountable and actually grow sa industry," Shuvee said, describing Vice as "lighting torch" to guide her.
Vice mirrored the compliments, thanking Shuvee for allowing them to talk to her or even tell her off when necessary.
"Ang dami na nating pinagdaanan, pinag-usapan, nasabi sa isa't isa," Vice continued. "Ganoon kaming dalawa, 'pag may nararamdaman kami sa isa't isa, pwede na naming sabihin sa isa't isa and pwede namin i-resolve ng 'tayo lang ito.'"
The comedian doubled down on their love for Shuvee and repeated something they had told her, "'Wag tayo malulunod sa ingay and kailangan tayong dalawa magkaintindihan tayo."

Shuvee found herself emotional hearing Vice's words and went on to praise the host-comedian once more.
"Meme is Meme. I'm happy to be given this chance na maka-breathe the same air sa Meme," said Shuvee. "Talagang si Meme, hindi lang siya si Meme, marami na siyang nabagong buhay and binago niya ang buhay ko sa pagiging artista ko."
The young star noted her breakout year, appearing on "Pinoy Big Brother," unmasked how clueless she was.
"Ngayon narealize ko na ang mundong ito ay madali as long as you let them. You let them teach you, you let them guide you and actually you learn to be accountable and learn from your mistakes and always look up to the person who you always value the most," she ended.
The supposed rift between Shuvee and Vice stems from the former's post about ABS-CBN losing its franchise and comments in "totropahin or jojowain" challenge involving Vice.
Shuvee has since clarified she was against the ABS-CBN shutdown and her point on not dating Vice is because they're both attracted to men.
Co-starring with Vice and Shuvee in "Call Me Mother" are Nadine Lustre, MC Muah, Iyah Mina, Divine Tetay, John Lapus, Carmi Martin, and Shuvee's "Pinoy Big Brother" batchmates Brent Manalo, Mika Salamanca, Klarisse De Guzman, River Joseph and Esnyr Ranollo.
