MANILA, Philippines — The feud among children of the late National Artist Nora Aunor flipped another chapter following the latest exchange of remarks between eldest siblings Ian and Lotlot de Leon.
The veteran actress fondly called Ate Guy and Superstar passed away last year, leaving behind the families of Ian, Lotlot, and other siblings Matet, Kiko and Kenneth.
Ian is Nora's only biological son with fellow actor Christopher de Leon. The former celebrity couple adopted the other four before dissolving their marriage in 1996.
Following Nora's death, discussions were raised within the family and by fans about Ate Guy's inheritance. Ian repeatedly said that legally he was the sole heir but was willing to divide any inheritance with his siblings.
Another point of contention were foundations separately founded by Ian and the rest of his siblings, supposedly without the knowledge of the other party.
Fast Talk appearance
Ian appeared on the advanced Father's Day episode of "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda" last June 19, 2026 — though it was recorded much earlier — during which he explained his establishment of a one-person corporation (OPC) centered on his mother's legacy.
Under the OPC is the for-profit Nora Aunor Enterprise, legally established to manage the Superstar's estate and assets, and will handle productions, documentaries and exhibits that could generate income.
Up to 15% of proceeds from the enterprise's projects will be transferred to its non-profit counterpart, Nora Aunor Foundation, which includes the NoraCares charity and outreach program founded by Nora herself back in 2017.
Boy mentioned that Matet, who appeared on his show last month, said she was not told about the OPC's establishment and Ian proceeded to share a discussion he had with all his siblings 40 days after their mother died.
"[The OPC] was still a concept during that time and I wanted them to be involved," Ian shared. "I think noon time na 'yun, they weren't ready because it was still a concept but I told them I would pursue this and was willing for everyone to be on board."
The television host clarified then that Ian was saying what Matet said a month before was not true. Ian repeated the 40th Day meeting as well as another conversation held over Zoom where Matet was present.
Asked by Boy if Ian's current relationship with his siblings was rocky, Ian simply answered that all family units, even a public one like theirs have misunderstandings and that time would take its course.
Ian also reiterated that all his actions were in service of their mother's legacy — from train station vendor to a Superstar and National Artist.
"Our opinions may differ but ultimately I can see in the future na we will all connive into one certain purpose," he added. On the issue of Nora's inheritance, Ian clarified that "things take time" and "all must be dealt legally."
As of the episode taping, Ian is only in constant communication with Kiko and Kenneth, not his sisters, though he remained hopeful and is keeping the door open for reconcilation.
'Sinungaling'
Lotlot caught wind of Ian's "Fast Talk" episode and brought it up during a media conference for her upcoming movie "40 Days" last June 19.
The actress disputed what Ian said that the latter told her and their siblings about the OPC. "He never told us, he never shared anything with us at all," Lotlot said with darting eyes.
She claimed that keeping silent on the matter but would not allow anyone to keep Matet, Kiko and Kenneth down over what she described as lies.
"Ikakayaman ko ba ang pagsisinungaling, ang pangingisa ng kapwa?" Lolot continued. "Enough! Enough with the lies, with all of that. Wala na kaming sinasabi and then you go out on a TV show to tell everyone sinabi mo amin, which is not true."
Lotlot pointed out she had a lawyer release a statement before for it to be her sole say on the matter, then began choking up mentioning she considered and cared for Ian as a real sibling.
The actress said that during the years that Nora lived in the United States, she who housed the four siblings — even sharing that she and ex-husband Ramon "Monching" Gutierrez gave Ian his own room.
"I don't understand why. Again, sa kanya na lahat. Wala akong hinihingi, inaagaw o si Matet. He can have it all!" a tearful Lolot said. "Kasi para sa'kin, sapat nang natawag kong Mommy si Nora Aunor, napalaki ng isang Superstar, nabigyan ng isang pangalan ni Mommy."
She admitted there was anger and frustration in her words, reiterating the sacrifices she made for the siblings only to be ruined. Lotlot apologized for the retorts and was embraced by her co-star Elizabeth "Boots" Oropesa.

Counterarguments
Ian then addressed Lotlot's remarks on his Facebook Stories, throwing back at her the claims about falsehoods.
He mentioned that his adopted siblings rushed to establish a foundation after Nora's death in case someone else would do it first, counterarguing that the Securities and Exchange Commission would not simply approve random persons to use the Superstar's name.
Another component for not committing to his sibling's plans was first wanting to fix the legalities, and he even kept tabs on the official registration which was never put up.
"The staff of a significant figure even informed us that they donated and may nilapitan pa silang isang malaking tao," Ian claimed. "Also the office informed us but they hesitated to donate, which made me post a statement to protect my family in case of any legal problems."
Ian even alleged an entrapment attempt to get his signature during a dinner where lawyers were involved, then reiterated the need to fix paperwork even if other parties were not cooperating.
He also countered Lotlot's claim that they were not informed about the OPC by bringing up the Zoom meeting and the 40th Day discussion, posting a screenshot of the former.
"Who put down the siblings? Did you even watch the whole show before reacting? Kayo lang ba pwede mag pa-interview? I don't go out just like that, it's for [a] Father's Day episode," Ian said.
Ian retorted by saying he also considered Lotlot his real sister and still calls her "Ate" after calling her out for lying especially to his father Christopher.
"Sa'kin na lahat? After the state funeral when [the] 5 of us [were] talking I was clear," he continued. "[I] told you guys na tulong-tulong tayong lima dito at maging transparent sa isa't isa and everything will take time and everything will be divided equally. Pero ang palabas is madamot ako? Why?"
He ended his remarks disputing another of Lotlot's claims, "Sino ang may inaagaw? | didn't say na may inaagaw kayo. Why say that? To put me down?" — Video from GMA Network's YouTube channel
