Is it safe to call it the Alex Eala effect?

On social media, Angelica Panganiban shared photos of her daughter Amila, aka Baby Bean holding a pink racket and flashing the biggest smile, and narrated how the rising Filipina tennis star seemed to have affected her.

"Nakita ni Amila yung picture ni Alex. Sabi niya sa 'kin, 'Mommy, I want to be happy like her'," Angelica narrated as she tagged Alex.

"I want to hold a baddington (yes, badminton racket po) and be happy," she continued.

According to Angelica, she decided to take Amila's photo "dahil ayokong makalimutan ang moment na 'to."

"Dahil malay mo, malay natin," she added.

Alex had a historic run at the Miami Open, defeating Grand Slam champions Jelena Ostapenko, Madison Keys, and world no. 2 Iga Swiatek, jumping to the 75th global ranking, and ending her run at the hands of Jessica Pegula at the quarter finals.

Meanwhile, Angelica and her husband Gregg Homan welcomed Amila in 2022, and she has been charming netizens since then.
