MANILA, Philippines — Theatre Group Asia has released the full cast list for its upcoming run of "A Chorus Line" next year.

The musical — which just marked its golden anniversary — depicts the trials and triumphs of Broadway's unsung heroes as it follows 17 performers enduring a grueling audition for eight coveted spots in a Broadway chorus, highlighting their personal stories of ambition, disappointment and perseverance.

The original run of "A Chorus Line" from 1975 won nine of its 11 Tony nominations, including Best Musical, an award the West End run repeated in the Olivier Awards. It is also one of the few musicals to ever win the Pulitzer Prize for Drama.

Helming the production as both director and choreographer is Filipino-American Emmy winner Karla Puno Garcia, best known as the first Filipina dance captain for "Hamilton." Garcia also starred in "Wicked," "West Side Story," and "The Addams Family."

Filipino-American theater stars Conrad Ricamora and Lissa de Guzman were previously announced to play Zach and Cassie, respectively.
